The Mississippi Tobacco-Free Coalition of Rankin, Scott and Simpson Counties recently held their first board meeting. The Coalition''s mission is to reduce disease, disability and death associated with tobacco use and exposure. The board is made up of individuals in Rankin, Scott and Simpson Counties that are interested in educating youth on the effects of tobacco and strengthening tobacco policies. The board is culturally diverse on all levels and is made up of different sectors of the community, like, education, healthcare, law enforement, media, prevention, city officials and business.
