DREAM and the Rankin County Children's Mentoring Program Announce New Mentoring Program For At-Risk Youth

DREAM, Inc. in partnership with the Rankin County Children’s Mentoring Program (RCCMP) announces the receipt of a one-year mentoring grant for the Mentoring Adolescents through Commitment and Honor Project (MATCH) made possible through a federal grant from the Mississippi Department of Public Safety, Division of Public Safety Planning, Office of Justice Programs.
The MATCH project will provide mentoring services to forty students in grades 6th through 8th beginning in January 2011. The goals of the project are to prevent and reduce juvenile delinquency and academic failure among forty at-risk/high risk 6th through 8th grade students who are referred to the program by the Rankin County Learning Center and Rankin County Youth Court. The MATCH project also hopes to preserve and create jobs and preserve and promote economic recovery.
