DREAM, Inc. Conquered the Blues Marathon
| DREAM News - Archives |
It was rather chilly, but the sky was clear and the sun shined bright over approximately 2,300 registered runners and countless volunteers and supporters at this year's Blues Marathon. The marathon, held in Jackson in celebration of the Blues and Mississippi native Elvis Presley's birthday, follows a challenging course that begins on Capital Street in downtown Jackson, MS.
The 4th Annual Blues Marathon, presented by Blue Cross, Blue Shield of Mississippi, gave runners the opportunity to run a full marathon, half marathon or as a relay team. DREAM, Inc. formed their own DREAM Relay Team consisting of Jenny Winstead, Rachel Anderson, Danielle Milam, Shirley Hubbard and Jordon Hillhouse. Each DREAM member ran 5 miles, with Ms. Winstead finishing the last 6.2 miles of the course. CEO Glenda Crump, along with DREAM employees Jan Ellington and Rod Robinson were there to support the runners and volunteer as course marshalls and transportation for the runners.
Great job Team!
